[edit] Death Match aka DM
Every single player is for himself. Each kills grant the player a certain number of points.
[edit] Headquarter aka HQ
This is also a team based gametype, in which the players have to take and hold a 'randomly' and life-time limited spawned 'flag'. The total among of time the team continuously hold the point will determine the winning team.
[edit] Search and Destroy aka SD/S&D
This is a classical gametype that doesn't allow the player to actually re-spawn. From the two teams, one is the attacking one, and the other is the defending one. The attackers' aim is to blow up one of two objectives, while the defending team is to prevent this from happening by preventing the attackers from accessing the area where the objectives are located, during the time limit. If any team out live the other team during the time limit, this team wins, although it is not regarded as 'fair play'. It is usually played in successive rounds, with eventual change of side (attacker becoming defenders and vice-versa).
[edit] Take the Flag aka CTF
This is the usual take the flag gametype, where two teams have to capture the opposing team's flag with retaining the ownership of their own flag. The flag once captured and taken back to the teams' base, spawn back at its original position. The game ends when a team reach a set amount of point or when the time limit is reached.
[edit] Team Death Match aka TDM
Players join one of two teams (from allied or axis and depending on the map's settings). Each kills grant the player a certain number of points. The team with the bigger score at the end of a given time wins, or the first team to reach a set number of point wins.
